## Analytics

This site may load an analytics script to count page views. If it is enabled, it is configured to record aggregate page view data only. We do not use advertising networks, we do not run cross-site remarketing pixels, and we do not build advertising profiles of readers.

## The product finder

The finder filters a dataset that is already in your browser, or that is fetched once from our own API. Your filter selections, how many cats you have, your budget and your router, are applied in your browser and are never sent to our servers. We cannot see which products you filtered for.

## Affiliate links

When you follow an affiliate link, the retailer receives the referral and may set their own cookies to attribute the sale. That is their data and their policy, not ours. We do not receive the details of what you looked at or bought beyond the referral itself.

## Email

If you write to us, we keep your message and your email address so we can reply. We do not add you to a mailing list, we do not sell the address, and we do not share it with a brand we work with.

## What we never do

- No ad network cookies.
- No cross-site tracking pixels.
- No sale or rental of reader data.
- No account required to read anything on this site.
- No collection of identity for any of the machine-readable endpoints.

## Contact

Questions about any of this go to [the contact page](/contact/).

## What the site never collects

No account, no cookie banner, no third-party script, no analytics unless you ask for them. The whole list is on this page.

Every number we publish carries the source it came from and the date we read it. Where we could not verify a figure, we leave it out rather than estimate it.

Photographs on this site were generated for The Pet Docket and show cats and rooms, not the products reviewed. Product photography is needed; until then every product is described from its published specification.
