Every line below comes from the source we cite. Where the source did not say, we left it out rather than filling the gap. ### What the manufacturer gets right - The biggest reservoir per dollar in this set: 101 fl oz (3 L) of filtered, continuously flowing water with an adjustable flow valve. - PETLIBRO states it suits a single small or medium dog as well as cats, and that the water lasts about 12 days with one cat or 6 days with two. - 304 stainless steel tank with a polypropylene outlet, dishwasher safe, BPA-free and free of sharp edges. - Quiet by the maker's rating: the patented circulation system is rated at 30 dB or less. - 24-month manufacturer warranty, plus the highest owner rating of the fountains here at 4.6 out of 5 across 1,870 Amazon ratings and roughly 4,000 units a month (Petof). ### What you will argue about - A filter every two weeks is the most frequent consumable of any product in this set, and that interval is PETLIBRO's own recommendation rather than a third-party estimate. - No app, no Wi-Fi and no drinking tracking. PETLIBRO's connected fountains are separate, more expensive models. - Larger footprint than smaller fountains, and more water to lift and wash out, which Petof lists as a con. - Runs continuously whenever plugged in, so it has to be unplugged to be switched off. - Includes only two filters, so a third-party filter is needed quickly if you follow the two-week schedule. ## What owners complain about Published owner reports, quoted rather than counted. The complaint record below is drawn from the owner reports in the sources we cite. We do not scrape, score or aggregate reviews ourselves, and we do not turn them into a star number, because a star number implies a measurement we did not perform. Where an owner report names a failure, we print it as it was written and we leave it standing. The owner reviews behind this research were sampled between July 2025 and June 2026. A complaint we cannot cite does not reach the page, so the record is shorter than the number of reviews it is drawn from. Source: [Brand product page (PETLIBRO)](https://petlibro.com/collections/all/products/petlibro-automatic-pet-water-fountain-3l-stainless-steel) · read 2026-10-28. Complaint records are published owner reports, cited at the top of each review. We do not count them ourselves. - Filter quality complaints from recent buyers: 'Recent filter quality issues reported' (Dog Notebook, Aug 2026 review). - Early unit failures: 'Some units stopped working early' (Dog Notebook, Aug 2026 review). - Replacement filters may not fit properly: 'Replacement filters may not fit perfectly' (Dog Notebook, Aug 2026 review). - Takes up more counter or floor space than smaller fountains: 'Larger footprint takes up more counter or floor space' (Petof, PLWF006 review). - A bigger reservoir means more water to empty and clean at wash time: 'Bigger reservoir means more water to empty and clean at wash time' (Petof, PLWF006 review). **Running cost.** PETLIBRO's own recommendation is to replace the filter every two weeks and clean the pump and fountain every two weeks. Four filters $12.74, eight filters $19.54 on the PETLIBRO sale page. ## Specifications

Dog Notebook's 2026 hands-on review says 'around $40' and quotes 4.7 stars across nearly 2,000 reviews. Verification: marketplace-listed · observed 2026-10-28 ### Why there is no risk score here The setup-risk score is written for hardware that runs itself, on noise, Wi-Fi band, warranty length and waste bin volume. A fountain and an indoor potty fail in different ways, so publishing a number for them would be a number we did not earn. What we publish instead is the running cost: not published by the maker. ## Before you buy **Is the PETLIBRO Stainless Steel Fountain, 3 L worth its price?** We publish the price we observed ($37.99 at https://petof.com/product/B0GDCZCXMY on 2026-10-28) against the specification, rather than a verdict we have not earned. We quote owner reports from the sources we cite, and we do not count them ourselves. **What does it cost to keep running?** The source did not publish a consumable interval for this model, so we publish none. **Which animals is it sold for?** Cats and dogs.
